Hey, I want to share with you a bit of my story and how it shaped my life. When I turned fifty, I lost my mum to a long illness. It was heart breaking for me, but I also felt relieved that she was free from pain. That experience made me realize that life is precious and unpredictable, and that I should make the most of it.

One of the ways I did that was by applying to join the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia as an IST (International Service Team). I had never flown solo before, or worked with people from different cultures, or stayed away from home for so long. It was a huge challenge, but also a huge reward. I had a blast running a Listening Ear Station and meeting amazing people from all over the world. I also gained a lot of confident and skills that has helped me .

That was just the beginning of my adventures. Since then, I cared for my Dad who has also now passed away and is now with my mum ( Bless his soul),

have changed my job, learned to ski, flown to France on a whim to visit a friend, attended another World Scout Jamboree (you can read more about that in another blog), and made some big decisions about my future.

Do you want to know what they are? Leave me a comment and I'll tell you more.
